Entropy is the tendency of things to drift into disorder. Negentropy is the opposite — the pull toward order. That's where the name comes from, and it's exactly what the work does: take the systems and data pulling an organization in a dozen directions and bring them into coherence.

Negentropic Solutions builds custom integration, data, and AI systems for non-profits and businesses. Everything is custom-fit to how your organization actually works, and built so you're never locked in. I only take on work when I'm confident it will deliver real value.

Ben Deniston, owner of Negentropic Solutions

Negentropic Solutions is one person: me. I'm Ben Deniston — owner, operator, and the person who does the work.

I've spent years watching capable organizations fight their own tools, wrangle data stranded across systems, and waste time on things that could be automated. Everything I build is intended to bring order out of the chaos, and let my clients focus on their creative work.

Because it's just me, you get senior attention on every detail and a direct line to the person making the decisions. The aim is straightforward: streamline and automate your data flows and business operations, leave you with something you understand and can control.

My path

Organizing and content

I started out in political and advocacy organizing and content work, but drifted toward the technical side — building and maintaining the infrastructure and data that actually keep an organization running.

NationBuilder — 2017

I began building in NationBuilder in 2017 and became a Certified NationBuilder Expert in 2021, setting up and running Nations for non-profits, advocacy groups, campaigns, and membership organizations.

NetSuite and ERP — 2022

In 2022 I was the technical lead for getting a multi-location retailer onto NetSuite, and have continued to build and maintain their NetSuite customizations and integrations.

Data engineering

Through my work in NetSuite and NationBuilder, I've done extensive data cleanup, data management, and data engineering proper — building the pipelines and warehouses that bring many disconnected systems into one trustworthy source.

AI Automation and Systems Integration — today

Today I focus on AI-powered integrations and automations: putting reliable AI on top of data that's organized and ready to use — AI works best when it's working from your data.
